Coming to you from Quebec City

This morning I’m coming to you from Quebec City in Canada!

I’m here for a long weekend adventure celebrating my little sister’s big 4-0 birthday, and we’re having such a blast! Despite the fact that neither of us speak any French, we were sorely underprepared for the lack of parking options in this city, and I’ve already eaten way more poutine and Mary’s caramel popcorn than one person should be allowed to consume.

Here’s a fun little photo gallery of this gorgeous place

And what in the world have I’ve been reading lately, you ask?

#1 — Hello Girls, an old Emily Henry YA novel so completely perfect for an all-girls road trip it makes me completely giddy to have found it (and yes, the audio version is read by none other than Julia Whelan so of course I recommend the audio)

#2 — How to Survive in the Woods, a thriller by Kat Rosenfield set deep in the 100 mile wilderness portion of Maine’s Appalachian Trail. And since thrillers are outside of my normal reading material, I both loved and hated it in equal measure :)

Wherever you are this weekend, I hope you’re finding some fun, too & should you want to chat, I’m around :)
