Two Books I LOVE on the Big Screen

Tonight’s the night!

Emily Henry’s gorgeous novel People We Meet on Vacation becomes a movie on Netflix tonight, and I’m so, so excited!

If you haven’t read People We Meet on Vacation, you need to know it’s SUCH a good book! It’s one of Emily Henry’s best, in my opinion, which is why I’ve read it at least four or five times (I lose count), and I love it more every time.

The story follows young adults in friendship-turned-romance relationship, and in true Emily Henry fashion, it explores important truths about investing in relationships, normalizing mental health, taking time to really see the people we love, and taking responsibility for our own happiness. (So yes, it’s more than just a romance novel.)

It’s honestly my favorite book to read when I go on vacation, which is probably why it was the one book I read when I took a tropical vacation to Bermuda a few years ago.

From everything I’ve seen online, the movie is going to be EPIC!

And if that wasn’t enough, another favorite book of mine is now on the big screen, too. That one Stephen King book I gushed over last year 11/22/63 is now a mini-series on Netflix. It came out this past Wednesday. I’ve watched two episodes so far, and despite it not being book-accurate (which I wasn’t expecting anyway), I really like it.

What a week to be a book lover.

🤓

If you can’t tell, I’m super excited to see these books I love on the big screen, and yet, my heart has been breaking in new ways this week, too, along with most of my friends.

More on that in the next post.
