Digital Nomad Details: Creating Your Own Location-Independent Business

Early one morning I opened my inbox to find an invitation from the Freedom is Everything blog inviting me to submit an in-depth interview about how I left my 9-5 job, started my own location-independent business, and traveled full-time with my family for 7 years as a digital nomad. My day was officially made.

I love talking about digital nomad stuff.

Not because I like to brag. (I don’t)

Because we cannot be what we cannot see, and I hear too many people saying they want to travel more with their families, escape their inside-all-the-time cubicle existence and do work they love, and see the world before they’re too old to enjoy it, but they don’t think they can do it.

They can.

You can, too. (If you want.)

Escaping the 9-5, doing work you love, being location-independent, owning your own business, traveling the world with your family–it’s all possible.

Here’s how I did it, the tools and tricks I used, and the path I took to turn my little sociology degree and do-good nonprofit career into something that helped my family be able to travel where we want and ultimately settle down where we wanted so we can start dreaming about where to go next.

I hope it shows you that ANYTHING is possible for you.

Whatever you dream of.

I’ll see ya there!
